In partnership with the Central Welfare Board of Jews in Germany (ZWST), OlamAid is addressing the urgent humanitarian crisis resulting from the invasion of Ukraine. This crisis has caused widespread displacement and trauma, particularly among vulnerable populations. Through this project, we are extending our support to vulnerable Ukrainian women and mothers who have been displaced to neighboring countries. Our efforts encompass geographical regions from Moldova to Poland and Romania, with a special focus on supporting vulnerable groups and minorities, including Roma and Jewish women.
OlamAid is committed to providing comprehensive support, equipping women with the necessary tools to navigate their challenges, rebuild their lives, and become active members of their communities. Our initiatives include extensive psychosocial support training to help women manage stress, trauma, and gender-based violence. We offer safe environments for mothers and children to receive professional support and immediate psychological aid from mobile teams.
Our mentorship program fosters mutual support and cultural exchange, supporting women in building relationships and integrating into their new environments. Additionally, we provide essential supplies and dignity kits to meet basic needs and facilitate referrals to government services for long-term support.
To ensure sustainable impact, we conduct training programs for service providers and local organizations, thus enhancing their capacity to effectively support female refugees.
Improved mental health and overall well-being, which is reflected in an increased ability to cope with stress, trauma, and daily challenges.
